Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is owned by a joint venture company, Hongkong International Theme Parks Limited, with shareholders, the Hong Kong Government and The Walt Disney Company. As of the end of fiscal 2022, the Hong Kong Government holds 52 per cent of shares in the company and The Walt Disney Company holds 48 per cent.
In fiscal 2017 1, HKDL delivered growth in attendance, revenues and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (“EBITDA”). Results were driven by continuous efforts to broaden the appeal of HKDL through new attractions and entertainment offerings, including the launch of “Iron Man Experience” and Disney Explorers Lodge.
