2022年3月22日 · Epoxy-coated cast iron pipe is a pipe coating made up of a mixture of epoxy and cement. The epoxy is mixed with a small amount of water and then applied to the inside of the pipe. The mixture is then combined and applied to the pipe in a continuous flow. The pipe is then allowed to cure for a period of time.
Epoxy-painted cast iron is used as a fitting material for pipes in specific applications where the combination of cast iron’s durability and epoxy coating’s corrosion resistance is advantageous. The primary advantage of epoxy-painted cast iron is its enhanced corrosion resistance.
Thermal Spray. Thermally sprayed zinc (Zn) and zinc/aluminum (Zn/Al) coating has been increasingly applied to ductile iron pipe where a high degree of protection is required. The metal coating is applied by “thermal spray” where the metal, in wire or powder form, is heated, liquefied, and sprayed onto the substrate.
How We Create a “Pipe-within-a-Pipe”. 1. Blocked, root-intruded and corroded pipes are cleaned with tools and processes appropriate to the situation. 2. A flexible, epoxy saturated liner is pushed or pulled into place through existing access points. An internal bladder is inflated, pressing the liner against the pipe wall.
