In each case where I try different settings, most of the time, the .MP4 will have sound on the original PC as long as I change the extension to .M4V, but then will not work on the other two computers. Some of the DVDFab predefined devices automatically create .M4V and those, again, only have sound on the original PC, but not the Mac or Laptop.

Dec 2005. You can drag/drop DAT files onto a batch file that uses ffmpeg to remux DAT to MP4: Code: "g:\program files\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg" -i %1 -vcodec copy -acodec copy "%~n1.mp4". Just change the path to ffmpeg.exe. A 500 MB DAT file (~50 minutes) took about 4 seconds to remux to MP4 on my computer.
Hi, can VirtualDub v. 1.9.8 save an mp4 file (h264/aac) in original mp4 container (using video-copy, audio-copy) or is it stuck on .avi? It plays ok. Thankfull for any help
If you actually have downloaded all .ts numbered parts (not m3u8, which are text files with links), you only need Windows to join them: Code: copy /b *.ts joined_files.ts. The resulting .ts can then be converted to mp4, if necessary, e.g. by demuxing it in TSMuxer and remuxing in My MP4Box GUI. Quote.

Then load the video (MPEG) into Avidemux, choose your output format (eg AVI), configure that and then in "filters" select subtitles and your subtitle file (Sub + IDX).
