It will be my second visit as I lived one year in Kobe and visited Tokyo already. In the year I lived in Japan I already visited the Kansai, Chugoku, shikoku and Kyushu regions.

After getting consumed in department store shopping around Ikebukuro on our last trip, the only places we skipped on our itinerary were a day trip to Kichijoji (or spending the day around Nakameguro and Jiyugaoka, as an alternative).

We have three nights in Tokyo, four nights in Kyoto with day trips to Nara and maybe Osaka. Then three nights Kanazawa. We have five nights after this.

I'm hoping it will be a bit more on the relaxing side, so I'm not putting too many sights on the itinerary and not going to include Enoshima (unless otherwise convinced).
