The Campus Facilities and Sustainability Office (CFSO) is a multi-disciplinary unit that coordinates and maintains building and facility related services at PolyU and provides these services at the strategic, tactical and operational levels to the entire university community.
Cutting-edge Energy Saving Innovation. Numerous examples of home-grown innovations and technologies can be found on PolyU campus. A screen-printable self-cleaning nano-composite coating, developed by the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, has been applied on Block X and it demonstrates superior cleaning functions.

Lecture Theatres. Lecture theatres provide spacious, airy and well-equipped learning spaces. Fitted out with appropriate seating arrangement, they provide the perfect learning environment for any number of students and can accommodate different conferences, seminars, trainings and ceremonies. Water Saving. To use water more efficiently, we have installed water-saving features in our facilities which include dual-flush toilets and touch-less faucets, the recycling of condenser water as makeup water for cooling towers and using the bleed-off for toilet flushing water, and harvesting rainwater for irrigation. Campus Catering. There are different catering outlets on campus, providing about 2,700 seats in total and offering an extensive range of Asian and Western cuisines to suit different needs of the University community. The canteens, cafés and kiosks cater for the basic needs of students and staff for fast, low-priced and yet nutritious meals.
Services. Repair and Maintenance Works. We render our greatest effort to maintain the campus environment and ensure the premises are in good conditions. We take care of building fabrics including plumbing, finishes, fixture and fittings.
Access Control. We operate our 24-hour Campus Control Centre with Security Surveillance and Access Control Systems. For safety and security purposes, most of the University premises are under CCTV surveillance and there are guidelines and regulations on access provisions.
Parking Facilities. Carpark. PolyU is located at the centre of the city which can be accessed by a variety of transportation means. The University has its fully-functioned carpark where cars and other vehicles can be parked and left temporarily, offering convenient parking facilities to users.
Eye on Energy Efficiency. We strive to maintain daily operations effectively, while saving energy every day. Energy efficiency brings a variety of benefits as it can reduce carbon emissions and lower our costs on a University and economy-wide level. Our Office’s efforts to improve energy efficiency are realised in every step of our work.

Sports Facilities. PolyU offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including stadiums, swimming pools, basketball/volleyball courts, badminton courts, squash courts, tennis courts, table tennis rooms, fitness rooms, activity rooms to eligible users at a nominal fee. They provide much fun to balance work and study.
