2023年11月28日 · 根据联邦政府. 「健康之星评级系统」网站. 的介绍，「健康之星」一般只会在包装食品上出现，并根据其营养成份，通过严格的计算方法（健康之星评级计算器）而获评为某个星级，由0.5至5星不等。 当中考虑的因素包括卡路里能量含量，及饱和脂肪、盐份、糖份等高风险成份，以及膳食纤维、蛋白质、水果、蔬菜、坚果及豆类等所占成份比例。 理论上，产品上标示的星级评分分数越高，食品则越为健康。 但最近， 朱古力饮品「美禄」（Milo） 由于被评为4.5星而令「健康之星评级系统」备受批评；该款产品虽然含糖量占接近五成，但则由于在生产过程使用低脂牛奶以及含有丰富纤维及蛋白质，而被评上4.5星高分。 有公共卫生团体质疑，根据「美禄」本身的成份，本应只可取得1.5星的评分分数。
