2024年7月19日 · There were an estimated 86 million new cases of four curable sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis) in the Region in 2020. STIs can have serious reproductive health consequences, including infertility, mother-to-child transmission, adverse birth outcomes including stillbirths and newborn deaths, increased risk of HIV acquisition, and cancer.
