A sign of too much detergent is stiff clothes or white residue. Always put the tide pod at the bottom before the clothes to make sure it fully dissolves too! Yes, switch. You don't need that much detergent, and the pods are absolutely horrible.

2021年11月4日 · For context, we have a fairly old 30+ year old washer, so lots more water than your average, so it rinses out better. In terms of scent, I preferred the Tide Ultra or the Persil Intense Fresh. The Tide smells great, but it doesn't leave much of a scent at all if it's properly washed out. Intense Fresh leaves an ok scent.
1 bar soap shredded, (I prefer Fels Naptha or Zote, but other brands exist,) 2 cups of washing soda, 2 cups baking soda, and 2 cups of borax. Makes around a half gallon of powdered laundry soap. You can put it in a food processor, if you want/have one to make it a finer powder if you prefer.

Cold wash, eco/short cycle, no extra rinse, (plus hard water) makes it hard to completely dissolve the pods. We just got a new washer and dryer late last week (LG Thinq front loader). If you use a front loading washer, you may have issues with the plastic shell not fully dissolving, and sometimes there's too much or too little detergent that ends up being used. 2020年10月24日 · Tide pods are not just convenient, they are more consistent than regular detergent, and they are the pest performing pods. Similarly, Tide is the best-performing detergent. But it’s definitely questionable whether the performance of Tide pods and Tide detergent is worth the higher price.
2021年4月26日 · Tide pods include a fabric brightener, so maybe that's why it looks better, esp if the pod is too much for the load of laundry. Try using liquid detergent and add Oxiclean to the wash drum. The combination works amazingly well to keep the clothes looking like new.
