Press Release："NTT DOCOMO, INC., will launch a new prepaid SIM service called 'Japan Welcome SIM TM' that will allow foreign travelers to access the Internet through the DOCOMO network during their stay in Japan, starting July 1st, 2017.
Those who don't know how to configure a phone, especially iPhone, shouldn't use a SIM card unless it's one sold by NTT Docomo *directly*. and not from a MVNO (such as B-Mobile, Sakura, So-net.....). Or simply use pocket wifi.

2024年7月1日 · If you really want a SIM card with a 'real' Japanese cell phone number (that can make/receive calls) I think Mobal is the only company that offers it for non-residents. (Otherwise just use Skype or other apps that have VOIP)
6 天前 · I plan to get B-Mobile sim card (5GB) whilst travelling to Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. I can't use E-Sim and don't want a pocket wifi. I can't find any recent reviews / posts on B-Mobile and was wondering whether there is a reason for this.
