  1. Jan 2020. The Mausoleum of Aga Khan III sits high on the west bank of the Nile river at Aswan. Khan died in 1957 and wanted to be buried near the villa where he spent the winter seasons. It’s said that Khan’s wife laid a red rose on his tomb every day until she died in 2000, and that the practice continues today.

  3. About. The Historical Ağa hamamı was constructed by Fatih Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror (the 7th Ottoman Padishah). Ağa Hamamı was used as a private hamam by Mehmed the Conqueror and his sons. At that time, Beyoglu District was not a settlement area and the Padishahs would come to Beyoglu District for hunting.

  4. Oct 2023 • Family. The entire palace was shrouded in beautiful greenery. The museum teaches so much history of Gandhiji, Kasturbai and Mahadev Desai and the Indian Freedom Struggle in general. The memorials of Mahadev Desai and Kasturbai (and a small Gandhiji memorial) with their ashes are here.
