浑水调研公司创始人
卡森·布洛克(Carson Block)，美国人，毕业于南加州大学，主攻金融辅修中文，后攻读了芝加哥肯特法学院的法学学位 。浑水公司创始人 。
2005年从芝加哥肯特法学院毕业 后就来到了中国。过去几年里卡森·布洛克一直在中国淘金。能说一些普通话的他算是一个地道的中国通。
2005年，卡森·布洛克来到上海做了一年律师，其间也帮一些对冲基金和他的父亲做调研，甚至还开办了一家自助储存库公司。
2010年6月创办的浑水公司。
2010年，浑水公司发布的第一篇研究报告，称东方纸业虚增收入并挪用资金，此后，投资者抨击了他的策略和可信度，这家公司对他的说法也予以否认，但他并没有因此而退缩，此后他又发表了关于另外三家中国北美上市公司绿诺科技、多元环球水务和中国高速传媒的负面报告。浑水第二篇报告所针对的公司绿诺科技承认了一些违反监管规定的行为，也直接导致该公司的股票于2010年被摘牌。浑水公司的每篇报告发表后不久，卖出这些公司股票的投资者获得了两位数的回报。
不过，浑水公司的主页上没有披露任何注册和联系信息，尽管卡森·布洛克本人在接受采访的时候声称在上海有办事处，香港有总部。他仍然保持他的神秘感，既不愿意透露他的常驻地，也拒绝透露任何关于公司运作的细节。在接受外媒采访的时候，他表示，他已经收到了不少死亡威胁。
除了卡森·布洛克本人，浑水公司没有一个全职员工，他一般雇用临时合约工为他做事。他很有可能将他的研究成果卖给了那些需要短期清仓的对空基金。但到目前为止，还不知道卡森背后的基金是谁。很多批评认为，他发布的很多研究报告都是为了自己的利益出发考虑，卡森·布洛克则表示，他并不是一个刺客，有时候攻击这些公司纯粹是为了“取乐”所需。
关于卡森·布洛克，《经济学人》杂志是这么形容的，“他并不是那种耀眼到可以做财长的角色，也不像华尔街拥有数十亿资产的基金经理，看上去并不出众的布洛克，却深谙中国市场之道。他本人就曾经与人合写过一本书叫做《傻瓜也能在中国赚钱》”。
