Not many people are trying to use it. It is very okay. 2 mins?! That’s no time at all taking into account there being 30 "dates" per person 2 minutes per date is a solid hour of talking.

   • Speed dating is really good and was also fun. I did it several years ago, met some nice women and got lots of matches via a 12 men/12 women format. Would highly recommend it. I've tried it multiple times. Usually ended up meeting someone and going on a date. None panned out though for various reasons. I'd recommend giving it a go.

   • It is a new skill that I had to learn in speed dating. You need to be able to ask good and interesting questions without dragging them out too much! You have like 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the speed date rules. I love to have a good conversation, so I tend to talk a lot about one topic.

   I’ve done speed dating a few times. Normal icebreakers like the ones you suggested are totally fine, but being asked about my hobbies, travels, etc. is better.
