I added 1000 yen just to see if it would take my Visa card and it did. I'm wondering how much I should start out with? What is reasonable for a few days and then I'll add more as needed. Thanks. We are booking 2 rooms in a 4 star hotel and am going to need to do laundry. I am thinking perhaps an Airbnb or VRBO would be better but it makes me nervous in a country I have never been to.
