香港特別行政區立法會 （英語： Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ） [1] 是 香港特别行政区 的 立法機關 [2] ，亦有對 香港特別行政區政府 的監察權。 現今立法會共設議席90席； 地區直選 議員佔20席、 功能界別 議員佔30席、 選舉委員會界別 議員佔40席。 第一屆立法會 成立于1998年7月1日，應屆 議員 任期為兩年。 自 第二屆立法會 （2000年）開始，每屆議員任期改為四年（ 第六屆 為五年 [註 5] ）。 2012年起，立法會議席增加至70個。
