社會科學學部致力提供學術與實踐兼備的優質專修。同學不單可在經驗豐富的講師指導下於課堂上學習，亦可透過實習計劃、課外活動和實地考察等活動汲取知識。 各項專修均可銜接升讀香港浸會大學自資學士學位課程，以及相關的政府資助學士學位課程。

本課程旨在培訓同學成為運動及康樂行業的專才，建立他們對人類體能發展的認知，以及培養他們對社區服務的責任感。 1. 培訓同學向大眾及不同需要人士提供運動及康樂服務，服務對象包括長者及有特殊教育需要的兒童； 2. 綜合廣泛學術理論，輔以培訓實踐所學； 3. 安排同學於不同運動及康樂機構實習培訓(兩年內完成500小時實習)，從而汲取寶貴的工作經驗。
