典禮上,身任計劃的「耆跡天使」香港輪椅劍擊運動員余翠怡小姐,更即席與大家分享了自己一件真人真事的「耆跡天使」故事 ── 她為腦退化症的老婆婆尋回家人。 余小姐回憶起當日在港鐵站遇見老婆婆,並與她一起乘車,最後更協助相約與其女兒見面團聚。 余小姐稱道:「作為運動員的我一直是受寵的,我享有我應有的『權利』,同時我亦有『義務』,傳達一些社區上的關愛訊息,尤其是腦退化症人士,希望大眾能多些留意,隨時隨地施以援手。 」她鼓勵大家及時出手勿猶豫,主動成為「耆跡天使」以「助耆為樂」。 為此,余小姐更特別參與了耆智園的「短片」演出,將經驗上載網絡,進一步感染觀眾。
