I'm not entirely convinced that we say "badge" in this sense in English, for the thing that you pass through a machine in order to enter the company (the original meaning of badge is "distintivo"). Maybe someone who lives in GB or USA can confirm or deny.

Aunque como dice Rodal, habría que saber qué significa realmente orden numérico institucional, si se trata de un número que se asigna no sólo a los agentes de policía sino también a otro tipo de funcionarios dentro de la institución estatal o policial, entonces la cosa cambia.
