I had used CX Holidays for hotel and air packages by Cathay Pacific based in Hong Kong many times, and the experience is getting worse. There is very little value for the money. We paid a 5-digit HK dollars for 2 persons on a 6-night Business Class package (hotel and air only) to Malaysia, and experienced the following:

I stumbled upon CX Holidays site, and its weekend getaway deals, airfare and hotel included, seem astonishingly cheap, i.e. air to Bangkok and three nights at the Penninsula for something like 6,200 HKD! Has anyone had any experience with these CX holiday

Are you looking at CX Holidays packages departing from HKG? I have bought their packages previously and could choose to stay at the package hotel towards the start or the end of the journey. But you will have to call them up or go to an agent to buy anyway because you can't purchase it that way on CX's website.
