Although they are still technically legal tender in the United States, the high-denomination bills, including the 5,000 and 10,000 were last printed on December 27, 1945, and officially discontinued on July 14, 1969, by the Federal Reserve System, supposedly due to 'lack of use'.   7. 2015年3月12日 · We got to see the building as well as learn about the Federal Reserve in general and the Houston Branch in particular. It was very informative and included a peek at how money is counted and bundled. You even get a sample of $100 (although it is shredded).
