- Lying in the far east section of Yosemite Valley is a short hiking trail that leads to Mirror Lake. The small lake is not actually a lake at all but rather a large pond that forms in Tenaya Creek. Its name is given because the surface of the water acts like a mirror, casting reflections of the tall granite walls above it.

Mirror Lake is not a destination - or if it is you have been misled. It is along the trail to Agnes Lake, the teahouse and beyond, but should not be a goal destination in itself. You may be also on the way to the Beehive, which is clearly visible from this spot. Mirror

2020年9月10日 · Mirror Lake is known for its beautiful reflections of the surrounding rock formations and is a popular hike for park visitors. The Mirror Lake Hike is one of the easiest hiking trails in the park, so it’s perfect for families with young children. Even dogs are permitted on the paved trail.
Mirror Lake is not actually a lake, it's just a wider part of Tenaya Creek, which comes all the way down from Tenaya Lake. In the spring, fresh snowmelt can make it unsafe. Late spring and early summer are the best times for a dip; the water is calm and peaceful.

2019年3月18日 · The ironic thing about Mirror Lake is that it’s not really a lake at all. It’s actually a large pond in Tenaya Creek that’s fed by melting snow in the higher elevations above Tenaya Canyon. Tenaya Creek feeds into the Merced River which spans the heart of Yosemite Valley.
Fifty-eight kilometres north of Te Anau along the Milford Hwy are the Mirror Lakes, a popular stop on this world-renowned road trip. A five-minute stroll along the boardwalk takes you to a lookout where the Earl Mountains across the valley are reflected in glassy water, an apparition only interrupted by gloomy weather and occasional mallards.
