2022年5月25日 · With Manjaro, I was getting a lot of weird errors trying to update ProtonVPN. Nothing could be updated or uninstalled in pamac because everything was a dependency of everything else. Finally, I had to manually uninstall protonvpn, protonvpn-gui, and protonvpn-cli with yay in the terminal and then manually reinstall protonvpn.
Performance-wise, ProtonVPN for me has generally been a lot more consistent in performance (bandwidth and latency wise) than Mullvad, where servers sporadically get high ping or die. This might be due to me using SG servers though, which Mullvad doesn't have a lot of.
For torrenting proton is faster only because it has port fowarding so if you take advantage of that you might get better speeds as you will be able to connect to more peers. Mullad used to have port fowarding but they removed it. The Linux app is more mature in Mullvad.
2022年11月13日 · Try using the new Stealth mode. I have found that some websites login pages will block ProtonVPN. But once logged in, they work ok with the vpn enabled. Other sites work for a while, maybe several days, but then stop working all of a sudden, until I renew the vpn connection.
