2020年10月7日 · dominant seventh (G7) is the major chord with an added seventh minor, and it's an approximation of the harmonics 4 (C),5 (E),6 (G),7 (A sharp) centered in C. The A sharp is in reality quite distant from the seventh harmonic, but that's a compromise of using a 12 notes system. major seventh (Gmaj7) is the major chord with an added seventh major (CEGB).
2014年10月23日 · An example of an 11th chord would be an F major chord played over a G bass note. Some folks call that F/G, while jazzers sometimes call it a Gsus4. It is often seen where G is the Dominant (C is the Tonic), and sometimes resolves to a regular G chord or G7 chord.
2020年8月23日 · G/F means "G-chord with an F in the bass". But technically, this isn't a G-chord at all, because G-chords don't have an F in them. They do, however, have an F#. G-chords with an F rather than an F# are actually G7 chords, not G chords. More generally: When you see a chord notated, like "G" or "Am" or something, the assumption is either that you ...
2016年9月29日 · I'm trying to play these chords properly but I don't understand this (no3). Also when I see chords like C2 do I read this Csus2 (C, D, G notes) or Cmaj2 (C, D, E, G notes). Sry if this isn't clear. The chord is in the verses of this song. The 'no' notation tells you that that chord tone is not present so this is telling you the 3rd of the chord ...
2020年6月19日 · 4. Some books say G7 chord is B F G, some say it's G B D F. Are there even more? Does this only happen to G7 or others as well? How will I know which one to use if "G7" is indicated on a sheet music? (mainly for piano) chords. chord-theory. Share. Improve this question.
2018年2月21日 · I find that when fingering the G7 chord it's easy for 1 to stretch between 2, and 2 can also stretch away from 3 easily. 3, 4, and 5 tend to rest over D, E, and F respectively. For the first inversion 1 and 2 are again bringing up the bottom, but this time there is no stretch between 2 and 3 necessary. 3 rests over E while 4 and 5 take up the two adjacent F and G keys.
2015年10月5日 · I find that 2 7th chords both resolve to the subdominant of their root. Those would be the dominant 7th and the minor 7th. The minor/major 7th has so much tension that I don't feel it can be resolved to a triad without resolving into another 7th chord. Major 7th chords I feel resolve most to the triad that the 7th is based off of, so CM7 would ...
2022年1月14日 · In the bass clef you have f and b (b7 and b3), and above you have 6th and b9 followed by another 3rd (b) so this is a rootless G7b9 with a 6th in the chord. Also if it is functioning as V dominant resolution to the tonic it has to be some form of a G dominant (though it could be a tritone sub as well) – Pete David. Jan 14, 2022 at 10:43.
2018年8月22日 · Using "no" notation I've seen horrors like C13no3no7no11 which is so far from the original chord it means nothing. What @Dom said makes sense to me. G-D-F could imply Gmin7 just as it could imply G7. It would depend on the context and how it's being used. Dm/G D F G A G D F. G B D Bm/G C/G Dm/G.
2021年1月20日 · The G major chord is the "usual" dominant in the key of C minor. The harmonic point is the half-step approach to the note C from B. It is extremely common. As a side note, often, when a phrase is repeated like Cm-Fm-Bb-Gm-Cm-Cm-Fm-Bb-G7-Cm would be
