Subsidised residential care services for the elderly aim to provide residential care and facilities for elderly persons aged 65 or above who, for personal, social, health and/or other reasons, cannot adequately be taken care of at home. Residential Care Homes for the Elderly (RCHEs) in Hong Kong are operated by non-governmental organisations, non-profit making organisations and private organisations. In accordance with the mode of operation, RCHEs are generally classified into four types: Subvented Homes.
Located in Ngau Tau Kok, Cheerful Court Care Home is one of the residential care homes for the elderly operated by the Housing Society since 2014. It provides resident-oriented care services allowing the elderly to live with dignity and peace. A total of 55 beds including single room, twin bed room, 4-bed room and 6-bed room are available.
