I've been hanging to visit Aso for yeeears, and I'll finally be in the area in a few days. 1) It's a mad trip for me (can't drive) and wonder if the 1 km-radius lookouts are worth going at all. 2) Any ideas when it will reopen?

I noted that the weather forecast indicated that evening temperature will be around 15 degrees celc. Is it really that cold? Do we need a warm jacket? Thanks for advise. Reply.
