5 天前 · For itinerary, I'm adapting the "best of Japan in 14 days" from japan-guide.com. Something like the following: - Tokyo with side trip to Nikko. - Hakone. - Kyoto for at least 4 days (longer if necessary), with side trips to Nara and Himeji.

We will be arriving end of October 2024 to Osaka and have 4 nights, then 5 days hiking the Kumano Kodo trail. Next Miyajima Island for 1 night then Hiroshima 1 night, maybe 2. Kyoto 3/4 nights and then our last stop will be Tokyo.
5 天前 · I am going to Japan for 2 weeks this August/September. Please have a look my initial itinerary and let me know your thoughts/suggestions :) - 1 night, Narita Airport. I am arriving late after a long flight. - 3 nights, Tokyo. - 3 nights, Kyoto incl. one full day trip to Nara. - 2 nights, Osaka. - 1 night, Onomichi. - 2 nights, Hiroshima.

Most may find it boring or repeated, still thought of sending this put. My 3 weeks Japan was a spectacular success. No surprises, shocks, delays, etc. So yes a big tick there ,I was lucky.

My Husband, 12 year old son and I are planning a 1 night stop at Hakone from Tokyo on our way to Osaka. What area is the best to stay in to make the most of our time in Hakone. We will be purchasing the 2 day free pass.
