There really isn't a lot of accommodation options in Tweed Heads itself apart from some cheap motel style. I would be looking in nearby Coolangatta, Kirra, Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Kingscliff.

The speed limits in non toll roads is between 40kph to 60kph and toll roads the expressway is 80kph. I realise that time when driving the other cars will travelling more then the speed limits on the expressway.
