For the purposes of this question, I am a Mexican citizen and resident flying from Mexico City. There is nothing international about my flight.

If you started at The River Cafe, coming by taxi, instead of back on the Malecon, would save you quite a few steps (literally, both distance and staircases).

It will just be my husband and I and we are staying at the Grand Venetian. In the past, when we visit Mexico ( Cabo, Cancun, Playa del Carmen) we always arrange private transportation from the airport to resort.
