Having already been to more southern parts of Japan before, I opted to do Nikko and Sendai (as a jumping off place more than as a destination in its own right) in addition to Tokyo for this trip with my older teen daughter.
4 天前 · Onomichi could be visited on the way to Hiroshima, or as a day trip from Hiroshima, which would cut down the umber of hotel moves. Kyoto and Osaka are close together and you could consider basing yourself in just one of the two cities. Answered: Hi guys, I am going to Japan for 2 weeks this August/September.

Our rough draft itinerary looks like this - Tokyo x7 nights arriving late evening - Kanazana x 2 nights, Takayama x 3 nights, Kyoto x 4 nights. Hiroshima x 2.
