2024年8月20日 · Basic itinerary is to do time in Tokyo on arrival (2 days) and before departure (2 days), 3-4 days in each of Takayama area (including a night in an onsen/roykan), 3 days in Kyoto, 2 nights in Osaka. The only absolutely fixed date is the 5th of October in Osaka to see Masayoshi Takanana play (my teenage son is a super-fan).

It is gonna be my first time to Hokkaido with hubby in Mid October and we were won over by a Vlog we saw on The Lake Suite Ko No Sumika resort at Lake Toya so we booked some nights there. We don't really like "touch and go" trips so we prefer at least 3 nights in each area to fully "savour" the region.
