We would often go and visit friends in Warrnambool for lunch via the coast and still had time to stop at a few attractions. It was over 2 hours return via the inland route but from Port Campbell via Colac it is less than 2 hours.

2024年5月23日 · There are outback trains from Sydney but not luxury eg Sydney Central to Broken Hill (takes 12 hours). Would suggest you fly back from there. All depends on what you want to do/see and when ?
