To access the Malecon stairs, you can tell them to drop you at Rodriguez and Morelos Then you would walk a short distance west to the Malecon, and take a left on the Malecon. I enjoy looking at all the murals and going to the Saturday Martket called Three Hens and a Rooster.🐓 The River Cafe is a lovely stop for lunch or happy hour. Get a table by the river and watch the water birds and the iguanas.

If you started at The River Cafe, coming by taxi, instead of back on the Malecon, would save you quite a few steps (literally, both distance and staircases).
