2022年10月3日 · 香港紅十字會輸血服務中心向大眾提供以下 5 個服務： 1. 血液收集. 市民可前往捐血站、流動捐血車或流動捐血隊捐贈血液。 2. 招募捐血者. 為提供足夠及安全的血液供醫療之用，每天必須有足夠市民來 捐血 ，故此招募無償捐血者是輸血中心工作重點之一。 招募科職員會定期聯絡政府部門、學校、公共事務機構、私營公司及各大社團安排捐血活動。 3. 血液化驗. 所有收集回來的血液都經過一系列化驗測試，以確保受血者的安全。 血液化驗項目包括： 乙型肝炎抗原及核酸. 丙型肝炎抗體及核酸. 螺旋體抗體. 愛滋病毒 抗體. 核酸和T淋巴細胞病毒抗體等化驗. 每一袋的濃縮血小板製品亦需先通過細菌培殖檢查才供臨床使用。 4. 血液分發. 輸血中心每年平均分發超過四十多萬單位血液成份製品予全港醫院病人使用。

2022年6月13日 · The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) announced the list of outstanding blood donors in 2021-22 today (June 13) to commend 3 686 blood donors who have achieved 25-times donations and above (multiples of 25). 2022 is the 70th year of voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation service in Hong Kong since 1952.
Adult (18 or above) males can give five times in a year, with an interval of no less than 75 days between consecutive two whole blood donations; whereas adult females can give four times in a year, with an interval of no less than 105 days between consecutive two whole blood donations.
