2024年5月24日 · 31 helpful votes. Ferry to Hokkaido. May 24, 2024, 7:03 PM. I was wanting to travel on the Shin Nihonkai ferry from Nigata to Otaru on the 6th of August. But there is no tickets available after 2 weeks from today's date, you should be able to buy tickets 3 months from the date.

We are travelling from Kyoto via Shinkansen to Odawara station, and staying overnight at Gora Karaku. The plan is to go straight from Odawara to Owakudani first, then Open Air Museum, then the ryokan. My husband absolutely refuses to do the Hakone Ropeway.

From Sendai as base also visit Yamadera and the Matsushima Bay as separate day trips. Consider also Hiraizumi if interested.

2024年5月5日 · Re: Place to visit advice. May 5, 2024, 11:22 PM. Fukuoka is indeed one of the good bases to explore northern Kyushu. I recommend 3n there and consider visiting Nagasaki, Yufuin/Beppu as day trips. Otherwise, consider Okayama/Kurashiki, Takamatsu, Matsuyama and surrounding islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
