We arrive in Japan at Haneda Airport and would like to spend around 24 hours in Tokyo. We realize it isn't much but we'd really appreciate some advice on where to stay and what to see!
2024年9月4日 · I have to take transfer from Haneda to Narita airport and I have 23 hrs. transit time in between flights. I have never been to Japan. I would love to see a bit of Japan. Any advice regarding where to book a hotel room for one-night Haneda or Narita to be able to see a bit of Tokyo.
2024年8月25日 · 2 nights Hiroshima. 4 nights Kyoto (may be one too many?) 3 nights Osaka. We’d like to see some countryside / waterfalls / shrines / temples and the ‘real’ Japan in the three days tbc. We don’t really want to hike but are happy to have a walk. We’d appreciate some suggestions of where to go and how best to fit it in?

We are "mature" (age not attitude) 62/72 from New Zealand, experienced independent travellers, first time in Japan, very limited Japanese, but confident in charades and translation apps.

2024年8月30日 · 29 helpful votes. SIM vs Hotspot. Aug 30, 2024, 7:21 PM. I'll be throughout Japan for 10-14 days and need to have 2 phones' connected to wi-fi. Is it better to get two SIMs or a Hotspot? Any recommendation on which company to use? I'll be flying in Narita and out in Haneda. Any company where I can drop off the hot spot at either airport?
2024年8月26日 · Re: most recent notable modern architecture. Aug 27, 2024, 12:34 PM. The Tokyo Toilet Project, all designed by noted architects, could give you a starting list of names. My upcoming trip is following Kengo Kuma buildings starting in Yusuhara but finishing with many in Tokyo.
