2024年5月8日 · 對於受關注的三合會或暴力案件及嚴重罪案如行劫，警方務必盡快破案。 去年五月，警方將「非華裔人士參與有組織罪案及三合會活動工作小組」升格為督導委員會，由高級助理處長主持，加強檢視相關罪行情況、情報收集、提升協調及制訂更具策略性的執法行動。 控方亦會於個別獲擔保外釋而獲發表格8的非華裔人士在港犯案被定罪後，向法庭提供有關群組的罪案數字或案例，邀請法庭考慮因應被告身分而作加刑。 警方亦會因應罪案情況作即時風險評估，包括於高危時段及地區加強巡邏、截停搜查及執行反罪惡行動。 為進一步加強防罪滅罪的成效，以及增加對街頭暴力和嚴重罪案等的阻嚇性，警方已開展在各區罪案較高及人流較多的位置安裝閉路電視；當中包括於四月初在旺角率先安裝作技術測試的15組鏡頭。
