Most conveyancing of property commences with a property being put up for sale by its owner. In the property market in Hong Kong, most owners sell their properties through estate agents. The following is a brief summary of the practice and procedures of property conveyancing. 1.
General. In certain situations, the registered owner of a property may not have any beneficial interest in the property. For example, the registered owner may be the trustee of the property or a personal representative of the estate of a deceased person who was the owner of the property.
