I've found that it's easy to argue with these sleazy taxis UNLESS you have luggage, so my rule is only take pre-paid or pre-arranged taxis from airports. I'd pay *more* for a pre-arranged pickup service just to not have to deal with the scamming taxi drivers at the airport.

2019年6月20日 · No peak fare increases in taxis like Uber which could be 2x the taxi fare, we could always find one either right there or walk a block or two to find one. Overall vote is skip Uber in central London and stick with taxis.
Use Uber to request a ride in Taipei and other big cities in Taiwan. Can also use Taiwan Taxi, often referred to as 55688, which is also their phone number and Metro Taxi, 55178. Findtaxi app and Taxigo on Line app works all over Taiwan.
No Uber and Grab however you can use Kakao T apps. The apps has English and you can pay directly to the driver.

It probably depends on how many people you have. Uber/Lyft/taxi can get expensive as the glacier is pretty far away from where the cruise ships dock. We took a taxi from downtown to the airport and it was about $30 for two of us.
