Are credit cards accepted everywhere - where are they not accepted? Will taxis take them? Same question but for debit cards. I heard that taxis are very expensive. How expensive for example?

Basic adult admission is 1,000 yen; that's less than USD $10. You should be carrying at least that amout of yen in cash for snacks and unplanned purchases.
