This is a condition in which a small lump develops within the eyelid due to a blocked oil gland. It often starts out as a very small red, tender, swollen area of the eyelid. Over time it may change to a painless slow-growing lump. Treatment is initiated with warm compresses (with a clean, warm towel) and regular lid wipes to clean the eyelids.
