2024年6月18日 · We are visiting Japan soon and I have a Wise card issued in Australia loaded with Yen. I have read that there is some difficulty withdrawing cash at ATM's with a newer Wise card in Japan. It seems it maybe just Japan issued cards. I don't plan to take cash Yen with me as the exchange rates here are not favorable.

Of course, you cannot put a phone into a recharge machine. However, you should be able go to the ticket window or a convenience store and ask to charge it with cash. Reply.
2024年6月14日 · I use Apple Pay SUICA, which is funded by my credit cards. So subway / train take credit card indirectly. Only in rural or remote area where IC cards may not be accepted on buses.

2024年6月24日 · Jun 24, 2024, 10:06 PM. The answer depends on how much your credit card charges vs where you exchange your cash. Pulling money from Japanese ATM's give you a fair spread--likely less than a credit card's fees. >>>the cost to use a credit card is better than exchanging $ for Yen.
