2015年1月30日 · Thank you to the head porter Conep, as well as the other porters Brahan, Reachar, Simeon, Fernando, Enuciencio, Nelson, Santos and Ferdinen. A great trip all round, would recommend Llama Path if your heading to Machu Picchu in the future.

Do they expect tips in soles or will US$ work too? Do we tip all 3 people - the porter, cook and guide? Same amount of tip? Cheers, Vikram.
We had a great 4-day Inka Trail hike with our main guide Ray, assistant guide Christian, head porter Santiago and Fortunado the chef. What makes a difference between a good crew and a great crew is experience and nuance.

Can anyone tell me an appropriate amount to tip guides and porters for a 2d1n trek to the crater rim Mt Rinjani, or is it usually advised by the trekking company? I'm worried the many 000 of the rupiah will cause me to offer an amount that's actually not sufficient.
