   漁農自然護理署（漁護署）發言人表示，兩名三十二歲及三十歲的男旅客日前從墨西哥埃莫西約出發，經墨西哥蒙特雷及南韓首爾飛抵本港。 海關人員在該兩名旅客的兩個寄艙行李箱內分別發現共約十七及十一公斤加利福尼亞灣石首魚花膠。 漁護署跟進調查後，檢控該兩名男子非法進口《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約》（《公約》）附錄I列明物種。 兩人分別被判監禁十四個星期及十個星期。 加利福尼亞灣石首魚屬《公約》附錄I列明物種，於香港受《條例》規管。 任何人士如非按照《條例》的規定而進口、出口、再出口或管有附錄I列明物種或其部分，均屬違法。 一經定罪，最高可被罰款港幣五百萬元及監禁兩年，有關物品亦會被充公。 市民如欲查詢瀕危物種入口或舉報非法進口個案，可致電1823與漁護署聯絡，或瀏覽網頁 這連結會以新視窗打開。
