But right now, I'm a bit confused by how to sequence everything. We will be traveling from Kanazawa to Hiroshima / Miyajima to Kyoto. I plan to purchase the Kansai Hiroshima rail pass before we leave home.

There used to be, but the bus got suspended during the pandemic and they have not resumed the service. I recommend taking the Narita Express train to Tokyo Station and the Chuo Line to Tachikawa.
