消費者教育網站. 規管 > 執業通告 > 缺席的簽約方作出妥當的授權. 通告編號06-02（CR） 接受代理委任買賣需要有「授權書」 「授權書」 須妥當簽署及核證. 代理發放訂金予代表人前須確保代表人已獲業主授權. 缺席的簽約方作出妥當的授權. 地產代理監管局接獲有關在出售/ 購買物業時， 由於相關人士的授權代表欠缺妥當授權而產生問題的投訴。 大部份個案， 涉及地產代理從業員沒有取得缺席的簽約方（ 無論代表人是否一個共同擁有的物業的業主） 的正式書面授權， 以授權其代表人達成交易。 其後缺席的簽約方否認責任。 由於缺乏正式的書面授權， 關於聲稱為缺席簽約方的代表人究竟是否獲授予足夠權力行事， 以約束缺席簽約方的爭議便經常出現。
