Fukuoka (福岡) is Kyushu 's largest and one of Japan's ten most populated cities. Because of its closeness to the Asian mainland (closer to Seoul than to Tokyo ), Fukuoka has been an important harbor city for many centuries and was chosen by the Mongol invasion forces as their landing point in the 13th century.
Tokyo-Fukuoka is one of the world's busiest air routes with dozens of departures per day, operated by JAL, ANA, Starflyer, Skymark, Peach and Jetstar Japan. Flight duration is about 110 minutes. Most flights use Tokyo's Haneda Airport, but a few flights also use Narita Airport.

The following is a suggested itinerary for travelers who spend 4 days and 3 nights in Kyushu. Day 1 - Arrive in Fukuoka. Arrive at Fukuoka and explore the city. In the evening, check out the city's famous food stalls. Day 2 - Nagasaki. In the morning take the train to Nagasaki and explore the city. Spend the night in Nagasaki. Day 3 - Beppu.
2016年9月2日 · Hi, anyone know where i can experience a nagashi somen in fukuoka or okinawa? I know there is one outside fukuoka city but not easily accessible by train. How there is a place which is more accessible?

Flight time is about 75 minutes. Fukuoka Airport is Japan's most easily accessible airport, as it can be reached in only five minutes by subway from Hakata Station.
