2024年5月2日 · 〔記者鍾麗華／台北報導〕行政院會今天將拍板「地方民意代表費用支給及村里長事務補助費補助條例」修正草案，村里長年終慰問金調至1.5個月、約7.5萬元，以目前22縣市共7748名村里長，粗估每年將增加5.8億元費用。 至於近24年未調的議員公費助理補助費和為民服務費有望一口氣調漲8萬元，其中6萬支給助理補助費，2萬元是為民服務費。 內政部認為，沒有兼職收入的村里長，只有每月5萬元的事務費用，根本不足以應付紅白帖及送茶水等日常開銷，要調升里長薪水，各地意見不一，因此決採用年終慰問金的方式，直接比照公務員，將事務費加發1.5個月，作為年終慰問金，約相當7.5萬元。 此外，朝野多名立委要求增加議員公費助理補助費，相關修法版本就有40個。
