   2023年11月9日 · 457簽證是一種有效期為2或4年的臨時工作簽證，持有人可透過僱主擔保申請成為永久居民，在職業的要求上較低。 而後來取替457的482簽證，要求在中長期清單上的職業才可申請永居。 ACE卓越澳洲移民的註冊移民代理Alick Mak形容，是次482簽證的放寬如回到「457年代」。 他透露，在「457年代」，「買工買擔保」的情況相當猖獗，職業如廚師 (cook)、餐廳經理，都是常見買擔保的行業。 在457被482取替後，雖然情況有減少，但「買工買擔保」的情況仍然存在。 他擔心，現時法例的改變，會令有關情況加劇。 他透露，在香港早已有一些非持牌移民代理，巧立名目，如「職業配對」，實質是提供「買工買擔保」的服務。 據他了解，這類「非法」服務收費介乎50萬至60萬港元 (約10萬澳元至12萬澳元)。
