5 years ago. you can call them: "Since most hotels are some way from the coastal road bus stops and the jetty, and roads/alleys are steep, you may find Positano Porter (tel: 0039 089 875 310, or ask your hotel) useful. A speedy porter service, they will transport your luggage around the town for you. Not cheap, but very handy."
10 reviews. 9 helpful votes. Porters at Terminal 2? 7 years ago. I know that there are self-service (free) luggage carts available at the airport but I'd prefer to just use a porter (since my mom's elderly & she won't be able to help grab our boxes from the luggage carousel).
The agency we are using said the porters prefer rucksacks. The 20-25kg limit is a consensus amongst the porters in Lukla. It allows them to take 5kg of their own stuff and still be under 30kg which is important at altitude as many porters aren't acclimated. We are aiming for the lower end of this limit.
