The University of Hong Kong Libraries was established in 1912. The Main Library comprises an all-rounded collection of materials in the arts, humanities, architecture, social sciences, and science and technology, giving vital support to teaching and research in the University.
The Main Library comprises a collection on the arts, education, humanities, architecture, social sciences, and science & technology. It also houses the Special Collections which focuses on Hong Kong materials and other specialised collections including Western rare books on China.

2024年4月22日 · HKU Graduates. Graduates of HKU may join the HKU Graduate membership scheme to enjoy library privileges (including borrowing privileges and off-campus/onsite access to selected electronic resources). Applications can be made online.

The Music Collection, located at 1/F, Main Library (Old Wing), has a print collection of over scores and books along with multimedia items.
Reflecting the historical development of Hong Kong, and the Faculty's common law tradition, the Lui Che Woo Law Library has strong collections of materials from Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and major Commonwealth jurisdictions.
