Today this festival is also held annually in Shinjuku. During the celebrations, performers form a procession and dance through the streets to the beat of taiko drums.
5 天前 · The Iriya Morning Glory Festival, or Asagao Matsuri, is held from July 6 to 8 every year, and is the largest festival in Japan dedicated to morning glories. During these three days, Kototoi-dori road and Iriya Kishimojin Temple are lined with 30 stalls run by morning glory specialists and 96 other stalls, attracting more than 400,000 people.
